Auditioning and Scene Study 101 for Kids

Auditioning and Scene Study 101 for Kids

A six-part workshop series

What does this workshop series cover?
The Auditioning and Scene Study 101 for Kids workshop places an emphasis on the art of auditioning for television, commercial, and film roles. In this class, kids get to learn what actors learn and do. No experience is necessary, and this workshop can be taken along with the Acting Basics for Kids workshop for an added bonus. Upon completion, your child will have an idea of what it takes to be an actor and will gain valuable life tools such as public speaking.

Where is this taking place?
All classes in this series will take place at the Old Gym in Danielsville (next to the Courthouse). There are a few meeting rooms located behind the stage where sessions will occur.

When are classes?
The Auditioning and Scene Study 101 for Kids workshop series will take place from 6:45p - 7:45p on Mondays on the following days; August 24th, August 31st, September 14th, September 21st, September 28th, and October 5th.

Do I need to bring anything?
Participants don't need to bring anything specific, except a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!

What about any age restrictions?
This workshop is for those between the ages of 8 and 14. Participants should be between the ages of 8 and 14 on August 24th. If your child's birth date is close to this date, please contact the recreation department.

What does it cost?
This opportunity is a six-part series and is $80 per participant.

Does this cost less if my child only attends 5 sessions?
We hope to see your child for all 6 sessions, but unfortunately we can't offer prorated registration fees. If you know your child will be absent, feel free to let the recreation department know and we'll get word to the instructor.

How many people will be in each class?
We have a minimum of 8 participants for this series to take place and a maximum of 18, so make sure to get a friend to sign up!

Are you offering any additional performing arts programs?
We sure are! For an added bonus, take a look at the Acting Basics for Kids workshop series, which meets directly prior to this program and is a great compliment to this series! (Separate registration is required.)
