The purpose of the ROCK Basketball Academy is to provide fundamental and advanced basketball skills to young basketball players.

The goal of the ROCK Basketball Academy is to prepare young athletes for their future on the court, the classroom, and in life through their commitment and hard work.

INSTRUCTORS

Ryan Moon: Associate Degree in General Studies.  Currently studying for Bachelor's in Business Administration.  He has 17 years in playing multiple sports.  Basketball being the most experienced sport.  He has many accomplishments: Madison County alumnus varsity basketball player, being the start PG freshman to senior year.  Former varsity player at New Hampshire Technical Institution, winning the 2019 USCAA National Championship.  He's been coaching since 2021 with Madison County Recreation Department in the 8U boys league.  Ryan's goal is to continue his career in coaching and training, while giving back to the community.

Kirkland Moon: Associate Degree in General Studies.  Currently studying for Bachelor's in Business Administration of entrepreneurship.  He has 21 years of playing multiple sports with basketball being the one sport that he experienced the most.  He played for Madison County High School for four years and was on varsity for two years.  The former Raider Alumni went to college at New Hampshire Technical Institution for the 2019-2021.  He has been coaching for three years with Madison County Recreation Department; 2015-2016, 2016-2017, and the 8U boys league in 2021.  Kirkland's goal is to continue his career in coaching and training the youth while giving back to the community.

101 Information (Age 4)

Class participants will learn the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, passing, and shooting.  This class is a great step in preparing first time players for team play.  During each session, participants will work on drills designed to improve their ball handling and teach them different types of passes and the correct shooting form.  All participants should wear athletic shoes.  All sessions will be held at Comer Elementary School unless otherwise stated.

Late registrations have a $25 late fee.

FALL BASKETBALL CLINICS

Providing fundamental and advanced basketball skillls to young basketball players.  Each clinic will focus on improving each player's ball handling, passing, shooting and defensive skills, while emphasizing the importance of teamwork on the court.
