Players and team managers should read and be familiar with the league's rules.
Team Managers should print, complete, and turn in their roster at the scheduled Manager's Meeting. The Drop/Add Form should be used after rosters are turned in.
Team Managers should use this form after they have submitted their team's roster in order to add and remove players from their roster. The addition of players to rosters must be submitted AND APPROVED by 5pm the previous Friday in order for the addition to be eligible to play in Monday's game. No additions will be approved after October 16th, 2020.

Adult Coed Softball for Fall 2020 did not make due to there not being enough teams registered. Thank you to those who did register. We have full intentions of offering this opportunity again in the future.
Join Madison County Recreation Department and your neighbors on the softball field this fall for a fun, social atmosphere. Great for a group of friends, church groups, coworkers, clubs, and everyone in between. MCRD's Adult Co-ed Softball league is the ideal opportunity for you to bond with teammates and to get a little exercise while doing so. Dust off your glove and step up to the plate!
Fee: $425 per team, due at time of registration
Team registrations are accepted up until manager's meeting.
Mandatory Manager's Meeting: September 9th at 6:00pm
Register online with a credit card (processing fees apply).
To avoid processing fees, complete registration at the MCRD office and use cash or check.
Play begins September 28th.
Games are played weekly on Monday evenings;
6:30pm, 7:30pm, 8:30pm at Cliff Mize Park.
Game times, dates, and location are subject to change.
Minimum of 4 teams are needed for season.
The season will consist of 8 regular season games. Rules of play are governed by USA Softball, except where local rules differ (see rules to the left). Bat guidelines will also be governed by USA Softball. Please click here to see the approved and non-approved bat list.
Team Managers should have a commitment from at least 10 players before registering. Rosters must have between 10 and 20 players listed by the Mandatory Manager's Meeting.
Teams/individuals are responsible for providing numbered team shirts of the same color (numbers should be non-repeating, at least 3 inches in height, and a different color than the shirt), bats, gloves, and practice balls. MCRD will provide game balls, umpires, staff, and the field.
Participants must be 18 or older to participate. Those who are 17 years old can be on a team's roster, but must wait until they turn 18 to play.
Don't have a team? No problem! Complete registration as a Free Agent and the Rec Department will place you on a team during the manager's meeting. A team manager will reach out after the manager's meeting to provide you with the team's schedule and other applicable information.
Fees are per team. There is no cost to register as a free agent, but you might be asked to contribute your share towards the team's fee, shirt purchase, equipment, etc. after you're placed on a team.
