Volunteer Coach Information

Interested volunteers are required to complete the documents below and submit them to the Athletic Operations Manager PRIOR to the season they are wanting to coach. In order to ensure the safety of your children, MCRD requires a new application and background check once a calendar year. BOTH HEAD AND ASSISTANT COACHES MUST FILL OUT ALL PAPERWORK!

Coaches are also required to complete both the following certificate courses and submit certificates to the department Athletic Operations Manager.

If you choose to take the training online, you must take the FULL training package. Use the link below to access the website and create your account. Once the training is completed, please send the Athletic Operations Manager a copy of your completion certificate for our MCRD records.

Darkness to Light Training Online

Create a FREE NAYS account. If you've already created an account in the past, log in, and skip to #2.
In your NAYS account, select Organizations and then go to Manage My Affiliations. Search for Madison Co Rec Dept to be added as a coach in our organization.
Compete the FREE trainings below. Once you do, we will be notified as long as you are listed in our organization. if you have issues, please contact the office (706) 795-6270.
