Brazilian Jiu jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport focused on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasizes techniques that allow a smaller, weaker person to defend against a larger, stronger opponent by using leverage, technique, and strategic positioning. BJJ is known for its emphasis on taking the fight to the ground and using submissions like joint locks and chokes to control and subdue an opponent. BJJ is both a sport and comprehensive self defense system. BJJ is also a fun and exciting way to stay in shape.
