101 Information (Age 4)
All players are provided a shirt, shorts and soccer ball by MCRD. Players must provide their own shin guards, and soccer cleats.
This instructional program is a 4-day skill, drills, and match related activity to give a glimpse into the sport of soccer without a commitment to a team or full season schedule. It’s a perfect program for active 4 year olds not quite ready for organized sports but ready to try something. All sessions will be at Brewer Phillips Sports Complex unless otherwise noted.
Instructor: Randall Ballenger
Randall has been playing soccer for over 20 years; middle school and high school, UGA Intramural, and now an adult league at the YWCO. He holds a Level 8 referee certification through the US Soccer Federation as well as his Level 1, 2, & 3 Goalkeeping Diploma through United Soccer Coaches, formerly the NSCAA. He is also the MCHS Girls' Varsity and JV goal keeping coach.

All practices and games are held at the Brewer Phillips Sports Complex except for 12U and 14U games which are held at Sammy Haggard Park on the football field. Away games will be held at surrounding agency departments.

Fall Season
Fall Season - Practice will begin mid-August and games will run through the end of October. Goal Keeper Clinics
These clinics will teach players the most current strategies while working specifically with the skills and goals of each goalie. This program will address ball handling, footwork and being able to comfortably work with the ball.
Week 1 - Proper Stance and Hand Placement

Week 4 - Closing Space
Each GK must bring the proper training attire of cleats, GK gloves and GK sliders. They should also arrive 10 minutes prior to the session to be prepared to start on time. All clinics are held at Brewer Phillips Sports Complex unless otherwise noted.
